Kyrie Irving's Legacy, What's next?

After his time in Cleveland, and an injury and drama ridden stent in Boston and now Brooklyn what's next for the 30 year old all-star guard. Following his trade request in the 2016-17 NBA offseason, many were excited at the idea of what the young guard could do with the keys to his own franchise.

Sick and tired of being in LeBron's shadow, Kyrie set his sights on a franchise full of young talent looking to make a deep playoff run. However, his time in Boston would be filled with injuries as well as multiple controversies about his lack of 'leadership qualities' and fit with the team.

His desire to create his own legacy would ultimately be his own downfall, as with the departure with the Boston Celtics left fans angry and bitter. He would end up leaving to go to his hometown team, the Brooklyn Nets. Joining superstar teammate Kevin Durant and later on, James Harden.

The team was expected to win the championship, however fell short due to the lack of chemistry and playoff injuries. So far, in his 3-year stent with Brooklyn, he has missed 123 of 226 total games due to injuries and mainly, his anti-vaxx stance.

So what's next?

With his superstar teammate, Kevin Durant opting to be traded, what will Kyrie legacy be filled with? An anti-vaxx star who left LeBron because of his ego, or a borderline hall of famer who made all the wrong decisions.
